As well as being able to handle the extra weight, EV tyres can also resist wear caused by powerful torque and have a lower rolling resistance, which is important when it comes to battery range. With all of this in mind, it’s important to note that tyres for petrol and diesel cars can be installed on an EV, but specialist ones may have features that sway you.
